Zipcar teams up with the Red Sox Foundation to support inner-city youth baseball and softball

Zipcar has partnered with the Red Sox Foundation to support inner-city baseball and softball in Boston through the Foundation’s Reviving Baseball in Inner-Cities (RBI) Program.

Through the collaboration, Zipcar provided RBI players and coaches with free access to Zipcars to help them get to and from games and raised $15,000 in funds for new gloves, bats and other equipment through a special “Play it Forward” campaign.  

The campaign gave Zipcar members a chance to drive Fenway-themed cars to support the cause with $1 per hourly reservation going back to the Red Sox Foundation. A few lucky Zipcar members found special prizes inside the cars, including Red Sox tickets and autographed memorabilia.
