Things just got a whole lot better in the Zipcar mobile app. We’ve made some exciting new updates to make booking, managing, and ending your trip quick and easy.

Everything you need for an upcoming trip is all in one place—from pictures of your Zipcar’s location to details on changing your reservation.

During your trip

Use the app during your trip to make unlocking, reporting, and extending even easier.

Unlock and lock your Zipcar right in the “Drive” section of the app. Just be sure to always bring your Zipcard in case phone service isn’t available.

To help keep Zipcars ready to go, please tell us about any issues right in the mobile car rental app. That way, you’re in the clear and we can fix it up as soon as possible.

Having a great time or just running a little late? If the car is available, you can extend your trip right in the app and continue adventuring! If the car’s not available beyond your scheduled reservation, return it ASAP to avoid late fees.

Ending your trip

Ending your trip should be as easy as 1,2,3. That’s why we’ve made some updates to our app so you can end your trip smoothly.

Remember to always return your Zipcar to the same spot you got it from. Can’t find the spot? Our app can help—just tap "End trip."

Confirm your trip has ended in the Zipcar app so we know you returned your car on time. We’ll walk you through some reminders about how to end your trip and you’ll be all set.

Our new 5-star rating system makes it easy for you to tell us what you loved about your trip or how it could’ve been better. Let us know—we want to hear from you.
